how can I manually set a time on this tumble dryer?

Help – my dryer smells really strong of egg/gas. It’s situated in the utility room but you can smell it all over the house. I’ve cleaned out all the trays. It has always got very hot at the sides and we’ve had it about 7 months but it heats up the whole room. This is my first condenser tumble dryer so not sure if this is normal?

Hi may I ask that can I switch off the dryer when the dryer is still drying the clothes because I didn’t set the timer? And will the dryer itself automatically switched off after the clothes are dried but I didn’t set the timer ? Your answer is appreciated.
