Connecting and Pairing
Here are some of the instructions on how to pair your Mi Band 4 to your Smartphone after downloading the Mi Fit app via the QR code.
- You have to open the Mi Fit app (available for Android and iOS platform). Follow the instructions that is prompted to connect and pair the band with your Mi band 4. When pairing, the band will start to vibrate a Bluetooth pairing notification appears on the screen, touch the button to accept the pairing.
During the pairing process, make it sure that the band is closer to your smartphone and the Bluetooth is enabled.
With the successfully pairing, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will start tracking and analysing your daily activities and sleeping habits. Touch the button to light up the screen. To access the features in the smartband, swipe up and down to access the menus and functions, features included are browsing your activity data, and measuring your heart rate.

According to a Googler, the security fix included in Android 4.4.4 is related to CVE-2014-0224, which is an OpenSSL bug allowing a man-in-the-middle attack, which is a fairly serious vulnerability.
